This lady knows her way around a kitchen. The food is amazing and plenty of it for your money. I had the bbq meatloaf, mac n cheese, collard greens and corn bread, let me tell you it was on point. Everyone needs to try the food. Thank you
Today I had the baked spaghetti, Mac and cheese, and collard greens. The food was fantastic. The portions were large. Everything was seasoned well and had great flavor.
Phenominal! Ordered the 3 chicken legs combo. Corn and Mac & cheese. Caned vanilla coke (rarity in itself) to drink. Maybe it was the bad experience at jewel city but wow what fast service here. Literally just long enough for the chicken to cook. Almost immediately served. Food was out of this world good. Actual southern fried chicken, skin and all. Crispy on the outsude juicy and succulent on the inside. I'm from NC and fried chicken and vinegar based pulled pork are 2 foods I take very very seriously. This place nails it. Best I've had here. Made me muss home. Better than Camden corner and that is saying something because Camden corner is top notch. But as good as the chicken was the Mac was better. Not simple but exploding with flavor. Thick and cheesy with flakes of pepper. You can tell love and care went into that. The corn on the cob was good too. Not a simple over cooked sweet corn on a stick like at KFC but good cooked until done, not over done, and with a dollop of mayo and seasoning. The hot sauce Truly was good but im not a fan of spicy to even with disliking the heat i can appreciate the flavor. Truly a hidden gem in huntington. Even for a "to go" place it does offer seats and didn't turn me away even though I was on foot at the time. The very attractive woman that took my order was very polite and very fast. Took my order, confirmed it (another rarity), and handed it to me in seconds. Highly recommended for southern coocking.
